Summary
A blog post by Graham Neubig (17 March 2025) marking OpenHands’ first anniversary. It recounts that the project began on 12 March 2024 as OpenDevin, an homage to Cognition’s Devin, was taken up by the open-source community, and was renamed OpenHands after three early contributors founded All Hands AI to carry on its mission; it reports the project’s growth over the year and sets out a roadmap of a general release of OpenHands Cloud, continued agent improvements, more integrations and more customization.
